Defending Sean “Diddy” Combs in the middle of controversy has not gone well for Nota Baloyi.
South African socialite and outspoken media personality Nota Baloyi has sparked outrage after publicly defending American music mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, who was recently arrested on sex crime charges.
Baloyi took to Twitter, voicing his support for Diddy and stating that black men need to be protected. He criticized how society pressures men, particularly black men, into not standing up for themselves.
In his controversial tweet, Baloyi argued that men often fail to defend each other unless it involves friends or family, while women allegedly manipulate men into self-hatred. He emphasized the need to shift this narrative, saying, “Of course, I’m going to defend Diddy… It’s about protecting black men at all costs. No more of this manipulation!”
While Baloyi’s statement has garnered attention, many are criticizing his defense of the embattled music mogul, sparking a heated debate across social media.
You are the type that will defend a rapist or a killer just because he’s a man and black. You really should have your brain checked up pic.twitter.com/LTFhvfcew8
