Nigerian R&B buzz, Nonso Amadi, has enlisted the help of OVO Sound’s Majid Jordan on his new track “Different.”
“Different,” a mix of R&B and Afrobeats, is about “the feeling you get when you meet a girl you like in a crowd full of other gorgeous women—and how she stands out from the rest and makes you want to pursue her down,” according to Amadi.

The friendship between Amadi and Majid Jordan grew out of mutual admiration. “When I initially met Majid and Jordan to work on tunes, we had an instant musical chemistry. “They would encourage me to go even further with each sentence I wrote, to be more descriptive in my words so that I could build a clear image for the listener,” Amadi continues, implying that this isn’t the last you’ll hear from him and Majid Jordan. “Until now, I’ve tried to use this movie-script-style strategy on every song.” This was true for ‘Different’ and other tracks on which we collaborated.
‘Different’ is one of those songs that feels different, is different, and brought us to Nigeria for the first time, where we experienced something different as well.”
