Nollywood actor Patrick Doyle claims Yemi Alade deserves national award
According to veteran Nollywood actor Patrick Doyle, well-known Nigerian singer Yemi Alade deserved to receive a national honour.
In response to the singer’s performance at the ongoing 2023 African Cup of Nations, or AFCON, the actor gave this explanation on Tuesday.
Doyle referred to Alade as Nigeria’s most important cultural ambassador in a string of posts on his Instagram page, saying that the woman ought to get a national award.
Sharing the clip of her performance, he wrote; “Behold, Nigeria’s most valuable cultural ambassador. Yemi Alade is nothing short of a national treasure, she deserves a national honour.”
Recall that Yemi Alade performed the AFCON tournament’s opening ceremony in Abidjan on Saturday.
