“No dey use me motivate alone” – Portable publicly begs for money after Don Jazzy donates a whooping N100million to VeryDarkMan for his NGO
Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, better known as Portable, has publicly pleaded for financial support in a new video after hearing about music producer Don Jazzy’s substantial donation to activist Verydarkman’s NGO.
Verydarkman had recently opened an NGO charity account aimed at helping people in need and has already received over N70 million in donations from generous individuals.
However, on Thursday, October 17th, he expressed shock after discovering a massive N100 million deposit from an anonymous source.
Later, Don Jazzy reached out, confirming he donated because he believed in the activist’s cause and trusted in his transparency.
Following the viral news of this donation, several celebrities, including Zlatan Ibile, Portable, and Tiwa Savage, flocked to Don Jazzy’s social media, asking for charity.
Portable, known for his bold personality, quickly took to his Instagram story, humorously asking Don Jazzy to send him some money as well.
Taking a subtle jab at Verydarkman, the ‘Zazuu Nation’ singer suggested that the activist’s NGO account was set up more for personal gain than to help Nigerians.
He also referenced an interview where Don Jazzy mentioned how Portable’s online presence had inspired his signees to be more active on social media. Portable playfully remarked that Don Jazzy should bless him financially, rather than just using him as a motivational example.
“Person wey talk say Na Nigeria he dey fight for, he is fighting for himself. Don Jazzy, Don Jazzy, Don Jazzy, I call you three times, no dey use me motivate your signees, bless me, help me, give me money. I Dmed you on Instagram, you did not reply. Please don’t use me motivate only, help me.”
