Nigerian Queen of Afrohouse, Niniola, has gotten her Grammy Awards certificates for her contribution to Beyonce’s “Lion King” album.
Making this revelation via her Instagram page on Tuesday, the 8th of June 2021, Niniola announced that the Grammy Certificates were in and mentioned the categories she got certificates for.
The singer wrote;

2019 Best Pop Vocal Album (The Lion King:The Gift) 2020 Best Music Film (Black Is King) ???????????????????????????????????????????????? #NINIOLA

#AFROBOSS”

The Gift album was produced for the remake of Disney’s Lion King which was released in 2019 and it had Beyonce leading the frontline.

Beyonce also featured top African celebrities like Wizkid, Yemi Alade, Tekno, Salatiel, Mr Eazi, Burna Boy, Shatta Wale, Tiwa Savage, Busiswa, Moonchild Sanelly.
Niniola might not have performed in the album but her song, Maradona was sampled for one of the songs from the album for which she credited.
In 2020, The Gift Album was nominated for a Best Pop Vocal Album for the 62nd Grammy Awards and Niniola was awarded a certificate by Grammy for her involvement in the album.
