Nike confirm Mason Greenwood does not have a sponsorship deal in place after shamed Man Utd striker showed off his incredible £23,500 trainer collection on Instagram
Nike has officially stated the termination of its sponsorship agreement with Mason Greenwood, who recently flaunted his £23,500 trainer collection on Instagram.
On Tuesday, Greenwood shared images of his impressive assortment of Nike footwear on social media, with the estimated value of the showcased shoes exceeding £20,000 ($25,000). Despite this substantial collection and Greenwood’s appearances for Getafe this season in Nike boots, the sportswear giant has distanced itself from the former England star.

A spokesperson for Nike clarified, “Mason Greenwood is no longer a Nike athlete,” emphasizing that there is no existing commercial relationship between Nike and Greenwood.
Nike severed ties with Greenwood in February 2022 when Manchester United suspended the player following his arrest by Greater Manchester Police. Although Greenwood faced charges of attempted rape, assault, and coercive and controlling behavior, the case was dropped by prosecutors in February. This led to an extensive internal inquiry by Manchester United, resulting in Greenwood being loaned to Getafe.
Getafe, where Greenwood is currently on loan, is set to face Almeria in La Liga this Saturday afternoon. The former Manchester United forward has contributed four goals in nine league appearances for his new team, positioning them 11th in the table after 13 matches.
