Nigerians Are Just Hypocrites – Seun Kuti Defends Saida BOJ

Famous Nigerian singer Seun Kuti has voiced his support for Saida Boj amidst the backlash following her viral statement about only opening her legs for a man who can give her N20 million.

Boj’s controversial remark led to the suspension of all her social media accounts due to the criticism she received from fans.

Expressing his displeasure at the backlash against Boj, Kuti took to social media on Thursday, May 30, 2024, to criticize the “dragging and negative comments” and defended her right to choose a partner based on financial criteria.

He pointed out the hypocrisy in condemning Boj while celebrating similar sentiments expressed by male artists in their music lyrics.

Kuti argued that many men are capitalists and believe that women are attracted to wealth, similar to Boj’s statement.

He suggested that the backlash was fueled by jealousy towards a woman who openly expresses her desires.

“Same exact thing Saida BOJ said about a guy spending N20 Million on her weekly that is making people drag her. Most Nigerian male musicians say it all the time in their songs, and Nigerians will support it,” he said.

The comments by Seun Kuti have sparked discussions on social media about double standards in gender expectations and the freedom to express personal preferences in relationships.
