Nigerian singer, Joshua Olonitola, popularly identified as Slim Joe, has died.
Afrobeats musician, Slim Joe has died on Sunday after suffering complications from kidney-related disease.
The 30-year-old ‘O ti yanyan’ crooner whose hit song dominated the airwaves in 2009, had called for help in May 2021 from well-meaning Nigerians.
He had pleaded for financial support in raising N15million for surgery to which would help him recover after he was diagnosed with kidney failure.
However, his death was confirmed by his acclaimed cousin, Jegede who wrote; “I lost a cousin, Joshua Olonitola aka, Slim Joe of Oti yanyan fame.
