Olamide & Phyno
The first song that Olamide and Phyno worked on together was Phyno’s smash hit, “Ghost Mode,” which was incredible because it showed that two indigenous rappers from different tribes could nonetheless create magic.
You might assume that the fact that Phyno is an Igbo rapper and Olamide is a Yoruba rapper would make their friendship difficult to maintain, but their collaborations have shown that this is not the case.
Olamide has since appeared in a number of songs by Phyno, and vice versa. Even more, they jointly issued the EP “Two Kings.” “Fada Fada” is the best song to result from their friendship.
Wizkid & Burna Boy
Wizkid and Burna Boy have never failed to amaze fans anytime they work together.
While they have been involved in a lot of projects in the past, their chemistry became more pronounced after Burna was featured on Wizkid’s “Ginger“.
They went on to release another collaboration titled “Ballon D’or” which was also a hit and rumour on the street has it that they have a joint EP in the works.
Davido & Mayorkun
Despite the fact that Davido was once Mayorkun’s boss, the two of them have a special chemistry.
When it comes to this musical duo, it is difficult to pick a favourite because every time they work together, hits are produced.
Their collaboration has resulted in songs like “Betty Butter,” “Bobo,” “Prayer,” “I Have a Friend,” and “The Best“.
Even though Mayorkun is no longer signed to Davido’s label, the two still get along, and their fans are still hoping for more of them to work together.
Naira Marley & Zlatan
Naira Marley and Zlatan have the appearance of fraternal twins from separate moms. They stormed the industry almost simultaneously, had an impact on the street hop music scene, and were arrested together in 2019.
The two have been successful in maximising their friendship and turning it into good music despite the numerous challenges and scandals they have encountered separately.
The most intriguing song to result from their collaboration is the controversial song from 2019, “Am I a Yahoo Boy,” which gave rise to catchy terminology, jokes, and mixed emotions.
2Baba & Sound Sultan
Despite his death, Sound sultan’s friendship with 2Baba will always be the yardstick for industry friendship. They are close family friends, thus their bond goes beyond music.
Sound Sultan was primarily 2face’s best man at his wedding in 2013.
Even when 2baba gave Nollywood a try, he appeared in the Sound Sultan and Baba Dee-produced film Head Gone.
Additionally, their chemistry allows them to work well together on a variety of tracks. For instance, Enter The Place by 2Baba was a party song that celebrated “flexing”.
2Baba was also featured on Sound Sultan’s politically themed song, “Ole“.
When Sound Sultan died, his death hit 2Baba the hardest causing the more than 40 years old singer to break down.
