Nicki Minaj Sues Nigerian Influencer Over Cyberbullying and Copyright Claims

Trinidadian rapper Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty, widely known as Nicki Minaj, has taken legal action against Nigerian influencer Dr Penking following what she describes as harassment and copyright infringement.
The controversy erupted after Dr Penking shared an old, sizzling video of Minaj on X, commenting on her age and suggesting she retire from the music and entertainment industry.
“Nicki Minaj should understand that she has gotten old and retire,” he wrote.
Minaj, clearly unamused by the post, responded by revealing that she would be pursuing a lawsuit against the influencer, accusing him of using her past video to harass her.
“Do you have permission to use this video that I filmed years ago to harass me on this or any platform? You’ve just been added to the suit,” she declared.
The case adds to the growing global conversation around online harassment, copyright protection, and the responsibilities of influencers when sharing content. Legal observers are now watching closely to see how the matter unfolds in court.
In other news, the global superstar announced her X (formerly Twitter) account, revealing that she received a Trump Gold Card, a highly exclusive residency-to-citizenship pathway that reportedly requires a $1 million contribution to the U.S. Treasury alongside a $15,000 processing fee.
According to Nicki Minaj, the card was granted to her free of charge, a gesture she described as both surprising and deeply appreciated. The rapper openly expressed gratitude to former U.S. President Donald Trump, crediting him for making the process possible.
“Residency? Residency? The cope is coping. Finalizing that citizenship paperwork as we speak, as per MY wonderful, gracious, charming President. Thanks to the petition. I wouldn’t have done it without you. Oh, CitizenNIKA, you are the moment. Gold Trump card free of charge,” she wrote.
