Nicki Minaj Cancels 2026 Album Amid Feud With Jay-Z and Mounting Legal Woes

In a stunning turn of events, Nicki Minaj has announced the cancellation of her much-anticipated 2026 album, leaving fans and the entire music industry in disbelief.
The surprise decision comes amid escalating personal and legal battles, including reports that her $20 million Los Angeles mansion could be at risk.
The rapper broke the news in a fiery social media post on Monday night, tagging Jay-Z directly and accusing his Roc Nation label of sabotaging her career.
“Ok I’m not going to put out the album anymore. No more music. Hope you’re happy now @sc. Bye, Barbz. Love you for life,”
Minaj wrote, signaling what appears to be a serious fallout between both camps.
The announcement follows weeks of online tension, with Minaj alleging that unnamed “industry powers” were working behind the scenes to block her releases.
Her message reignited her long-running feud with Roc Nation, a conflict reportedly tied to disputes over her Tidal ownership claims and past business negotiations.
But that’s only part of the storm swirling around the self-proclaimed Queen of Rap.

Court documents recently surfaced showing that Minaj and her husband, Kenneth Petty, still owe $503,318 in a court-ordered judgment to Thomas Weidenmüller, a former security chief who sued Petty over an alleged assault during the Nicki WRLD Tour in 2019.
According to filings obtained by The Real Deal, Minaj’s Hidden Hills estate, which carries a $13.2 million mortgage lien, still has roughly $6 million in equity, an amount Weidenmüller’s attorneys claim could easily cover the debt. They are now seeking a court order to authorize a forced sale of the property if payment isn’t made.
Neither Minaj nor Petty has publicly addressed the latest legal developments. However, the news adds to an increasingly chaotic chapter for the rapper, who has also reignited her long-simmering rivalry with Cardi B online.
With her album now scrapped, ongoing feuds, and mounting financial pressures, Nicki Minaj appears to be facing one of the most turbulent moments of her storied career, a rare moment of uncertainty for one of hip-hop’s most dominant voices.
