Neymar agrees personal terms with Al Hilal
There have been reports indicating that Neymar has reached a personal agreement with Al Hilal, a club in Saudi Arabia, which brings him closer to leaving Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).
Initially, Neymar turned down the opportunity to move to Al Hilal when they made him their first choice to replace his PSG teammate Kylian Mbappe earlier in the summer.
However, recent sources have confirmed that Neymar has now agreed to join Al Hilal and has accepted the terms of a substantial contract reportedly worth approximately €220,000 (£189,000) per day.
It’s worth noting that Al Hilal pursued Neymar after their attempt to sign Napoli striker Victor Osimhen fell through. PSG also entertained interest from the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF), which they had been seeking as a buyer for Neymar.
PSG is said to have accepted an offer of €90 million (£77.6 million) from Al Hilal to finalize the deal.
The transfer is expected to be formally completed in the next few days, and Neymar’s departure marks another significant development in a tumultuous summer for PSG. They are also reportedly in negotiations with Al Hilal regarding the possible sale of midfielder Marco Verratti.
As for Kylian Mbappe, there were earlier speculations about his potential departure, but he was later welcomed back into the PSG squad after being initially left out. It seems that Mbappe is expected to play for PSG in their upcoming match against Toulouse.
