Cristiano Ronaldo honoured in new Sporting CP third kit.
Sporting CP just unveiled their new third jersey as a homage to Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ronaldo graduated from Sporting’s youth and played 31 times for the senior team in all competitions before signing a record-breaking contract with Manchester United in 2003.
Ronaldo developed into one of the best players in the world at Old Trafford, paving the way for a remarkable career that has led him to Real Madrid, Juventus, and Al Nassr.
Sporting have presented a new third uniform that honours the 38-year-old 20 years after Ronaldo played his final match for the Portuguese powerhouse.
This new shirt includes the renowned CR7 emblem in addition to a black and gold pattern that resembles Sporting’s uniforms during Ronaldo’s tenure as the club’s player.
“Travel back in time with us,” a post read. “6th of August 2003 to the 6th of August 2023. 20 years of Estadio Jose Alvalade and five Ballon d’Ors later, the best in the world are united in one piece.
“20 stories to tell. Sporting, Cristiano and Nike together in our new shirt.”
