New Al-Nassr manager insists Ronaldo still among ‘best in the world’
Luis Castro, the newly appointed boss of Al-Nassr, has expressed his belief that Cristiano Ronaldo remains one of the best players in the world. As Castro prepares to manage the superstar, he has praised Ronaldo’s exceptional abilities.
Castro, who joined Al-Nassr from Botafogo, has acknowledged Ronaldo’s status as one of the top players in global football. Despite Al-Nassr’s failure to win the Saudi Pro League title last season, Ronaldo has been a standout performer for the team, scoring 14 goals in 19 games since his arrival from Manchester United.
Castro told reporters of linking up with Ronaldo: “It’s always good to coach the best in the world. He’s on that team, as a man who will go down in football history. So it will be a pleasure to work with him, as with everyone else who follows him.”
While Cristiano Ronaldo is currently on vacation, he is expected to return to Al-Nassr this week in preparation for a friendly match against Farense at the Estadio Algarve in Portugal. Al-Nassr has been active in the summer transfer market, with the signing of Marcelo Brozovic from Inter Milan.
Ronaldo, with his impressive track record and numerous trophies, will be aiming to lead Al-Nassr to success in the upcoming 2023-24 season. His presence and contributions are expected to be significant as the team strives for glory in their competitions.
