Nigerian rapper Naira Marley caught on camera allegedly rolling a joint in a club shortly after endorsing NDLEA’s anti-drug abuse campaign.
Nigerian rapper Naira Marley has been caught on camera allegedly rolling a joint in a club, just a few days after he publicly declared his support for the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA)’s campaign against drug abuse.
The incident has sparked controversy and garnered mixed reactions from the public
Naira Marley, known for his association with the “Marlian” movement, had recently visited the NDLEA office, where he met with the agency’s chairman, Buba Marwa.
During the meeting, he expressed his support for the campaign to combat drug abuse, which has been a significant issue in Nigeria.
This move, however, was met with skepticism by some sectors of the Nigerian population.
A video that has surfaced online appears to show the rapper in a club, reportedly rolling a joint – a stark contrast to the stance he had taken just days prior.
The footage, shared on social media by user @olamideOfficial, quickly gained traction and sparked discussions about the authenticity of Naira Marley’s commitment to the NDLEA’s cause.
The incident has generated a flurry of reactions from the public.
While some individuals expressed disappointment and criticized the rapper for allegedly contradicting his own stance, others were more forgiving, suggesting that the video might have been taken out of context or manipulated.
The ‘Mafo’ crooner paid a visit to the Abuja headquarters of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) on Thursday, where he met with the Chief Executive Officer, Buba Marwa, to declare support for the campaign against drug abuse.
