Nigerians were left shocked and concerned after reports surfaced that beloved skit maker and singer, Lawal Michael Nasiru Bolaji popularly known as Nasboi was involved in a serious car accident during a road trip.
According to a post shared by Instagram blog BlackXcellence, the entertainer was on an interstate journey when the accident occurred. The purpose of the trip? A bold mission to get the attention of Afrobeats superstar Davido, in hopes of securing a coveted verse on a new track.
Following the incident, Nasboi took to Instagram Live to assure fans that he was safe and recovering well. Despite the frightening nature of the crash, the resilient artist maintained his humor and spirit.
“I’m fine, I promise,” he told concerned viewers. He also downplayed the cause, saying he wouldn’t blame the accident on the trip itself. “This could’ve happened in Lagos,” he added, acknowledging that life is unpredictable no matter where you are.
The near-tragic moment adds another chapter to Nasboi’s rise as an artist willing to go the extra mile — literally — to make his dreams a reality. Fans and fellow entertainers have since flooded his page with messages of support and relief.
