Nasboi Survives Car Accident on 36-State Tour for Davido Feature: “This Journey Is Bigger Than a Verse”

Popular Nigerian skit maker-turned-musician Nasboi has spoken out following a car accident that occurred during his bold 36-state tour aimed at securing a music feature from Afrobeats superstar Davido.
Nasboi, who kick-started the ambitious campaign eight days ago, had already visited eight Nigerian states, publicly holding up placards appealing to Davido for a verse, when the accident occurred. Fortunately, no lives were lost.
In an official statement released from Abuja on June 4, 2025, the entertainer recounted the ordeal, calling it “terrifying” but reaffirmed his determination to continue the journey.
“Yes, the accident happened and yes, it was terrifying. But I am alive, and for that, I am grateful,” Nasboi wrote. “This journey is now bigger than a verse from Davido. It has become about proving to myself and others that no matter the setbacks, I’ll keep moving forward.”
While the tour initially sparked buzz as a stunt to get Davido’s attention, Nasboi revealed that it has since taken on a deeper personal meaning. Addressing both supporters and critics, he emphasized that his persistence is driven by purpose, not desperation.
“People have called me crazy, others have cheered me on. But I’m not doing this just for clout or pity. I’m doing this to show what belief and resilience look like,” he added.
Nasboi’s journey has ignited conversations online about creative ambition, perseverance, and the emotional toll of chasing big dreams in Nigeria’s competitive entertainment space.
He concluded his statement with a heartfelt message:
“To anyone out there struggling to be seen or heard—keep moving. Your moment will come.”
