Naira Marley Raises Alarm Over Occultism in Music Industry, Distances Self from Future Tragedies

Controversial Nigerian artist Azeez Adeshina Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, has stirred fresh conversations online after raising concerns about what he described as the growing presence of occult practices within the Nigerian entertainment industry.
The singer, who has remained in the public eye following the controversy surrounding the death of late singer Mohbad, took to social media to strongly distance himself from any future tragic incidents involving artists or industry figures.
According to him, he should not be mentioned or linked to any death that may occur going forward.
In a candid and emotionally charged post, Naira Marley painted a grim picture of the music industry, claiming that genuine friendships are rare and that many industry relationships are driven by self-interest rather than loyalty.
He further alleged that beneath the glamorous surface of the entertainment world lies deep-seated betrayal, rivalry, and dangerous affiliations, insisting that many who appear friendly are, in reality, backstabbers.
“I no get problem with anybody o.. if anybody die no be me o. na dem go kill each other finish.. dem no kuku like each other na because of us dem link up. We no reach 5 weh never join cult for this industry. Person weh put u for cult self dey carry police escort up and down,” he wrote.
The post quickly gained traction online, with fans and critics alike debating the weight of his claims and what they reveal about the darker side of fame.
While some dismissed the statement as another controversial outburst, others expressed concern over the allegations, calling for deeper introspection within the industry.
As expected, Naira Marley’s comments have once again placed him at the centre of public discourse, reinforcing his reputation as one of the industry’s most polarizing figures—never afraid to speak, even when the message is uncomfortable.
