Naira Marley reveals that being naughty doesn’t stop one from having a relationship with God.
Naira Marley has stated that being a “bad guy” does not prevent him from having a strong relationship with God.
In the latest issue of Crack Magazine, which features Naira Marley on the cover, the controversial rapper stated this while reflecting on his relationship with God.
According to the “Montego Bay” crooner, Nigerian culture is programmed to believe that persons with certain personal behaviours that they regard as negative cannot be close to God.

He stated that he shocked people who discover that he fasted during the Ramadan period.
In his words, the Marlian Records boss explained;
“With [Nigerian] culture, they don’t think you can have a big bum and be a godly person. They don’t think you can smoke weed and be a son of God. It’s a whole mindset.”
“I pray, I believe in God, and I know God. During Ramadan, I was fasting and it came as a shock to everybody – but I don’t understand. They think just because I like big bums and I smoke weed that I’m not a godly person. They can think I’m bad or naughty, which I understand, but even a naughty guy needs God, you know?”
