Nigerian street hip-pop artists Naira Marley has prayed to God that he never be allowed to give up smoking.
The outspoken artist, who is known for speaking freely and was recently suspended on Twitter for campaigning for the APC, has sparked controversy.
Naira turned to the microblogging platform Twitter and made a contentious comment. In his Tweet, he prayed to his maker never to “let me see what will make me leave smoking.”
Netizens have questioned why he would say such a prayer in his tweet.
He wrote: “God please don’t let me see what will make me leave smoking. Amen “

In other news, Naira Marley, has declared himself willing to bet 40 million Naira on Bola Tinubu as the possible winner of the Nigerian 2023 elections.
He announced this on his social media page along with the receipt of his friend Tunde Jago’s N20 million bank transaction, in which the money was transferred to a different party while still being used for the same wager.
Naira Marley issued a new challenge to those who were interested in placing bets on the results of the presidential election.
He wrote; “If u find person wey want bet. Dem fit bet 250k I go bet 1m.. or dem fit bet 1m I go bet 4m…or 10m I go bet 40m”
