My sound was the benchmark for other Afrobeats producers – Sarz
Renowned music producer, Sarz claims that his sound has set the benchmark for others in the industry.
According to him, singer Wizkid was the first to recognize his sound and grasp his vision at an early stage.
Talking in a video message posted on his Instagram page, Sarz claimed that no one was producing that kind of music prior to him and Wizkid creating the sound “Samba.”
He said
I made a sound that became a benchmark for other Afrobeats producers to follow.
“I made a sound called ‘Samba.’ I remember no one was making anything like that at that time. I just wanted to do something that is African but at the same time the world in general understands. It was only Wizkid that saw the idea and knew exactly where I was coming from when I made Samba.”
