Reece James reveals his sister’s favourite artist is Burna Boy
Reece James, the Chelsea star, has disclosed that his sister, Lauren James, is a big fan of Nigerian artist Burna Boy.
During a recent interview alongside Lauren, who plays for Chelsea Women, the English defender shared this revelation. Speaking to media personality Marva, Reece mentioned, “Lauren’s favorite artiste is Burna Boy. She loves Afrobeats. I like it as well but not as much as her.”
Lauren chimed in, saying, “I listen to a lot of Afrobeats songs. I do love Afrobeats. It gets me in the mood [laughs].”
Likewise, German international Benjamin Heinrichs, of Ghanaian descent, has also declared Burna Boy as his favorite Afrobeats artist.
The German DFL Pokal winner, in a conversation with John Jackson, mentioned the ‘Last Last‘ crooner when asked to choose among the industry’s leading trio – Davido, Wizkid, and Burna Boy.
When queried, Henrichs responded, “Burna Boy, because he’s making good music.”
In other news, Burna Boy has disclosed that playing football was his first professional way.
He claimed to be a skilled football player, but he changed his career because he was better at goalkeeping and felt that he “didn’t feel important.”
The Grammy-winning musician revealed this in a conversation with British-Nigerian media figure Julie Adenuga.
Burna stated that he quit because he did not want to play goalkeeping for the rest of his life and thought the squad would do fine without him.
