Brown Shuga [real name – Aliu Oshiomale] who was born on the 23rd of December [late 80s] hails from Edo state; he is an undergraduate of Mechanical Engineering at Auchi Polytechnic. The Lagos brought-up started doing music at the age of10 with a strong influence of Reggae music, as inspired by the likes of the legendary Bob Marley, Sizzla Kolanji, Buju Banton,Chaka Demus & Pliers, Sean Paul, Beenie Man, Vybz Kartel, 2face Idibia, as well as Blackface Naija and the list goes on.
On the Nigerian scene, he looks forward to working with Ice Prince, M.I, 2face Idibia and Blackface Naija, with his eyes set on Beenie Man, Vybz Kartel and Sean Paul as regards the international scene. Having had collaborations done with the likes of Pupayanis, Pherowshuz, Terry tha Rapman and Tekno, Brown Shuga has been privileged to perform at notable events like Wave Ur Banner, organised by Brilla FM, Abuja All-Star show at the Maitama Amusement Park and a Home-Coming concert held in his honour at Auchi some months back.
He currently has shot the video [directed by Patrick Elis] to one of his offerings titled “In My” which features Tekno; he currently is signed on to Blaque Ox County Records, with 3 massive singles currently rocking the airwaves and over 50recorded and unreleased materials. Addicted to good beats and dropping freestyles, his debut album titled “Stories Untold” is currently in the works and hopefully to be released, come next year.
He bagged an award for Peace in Kaduna by NF Nollywood, based on his reality song titled “Gang War [One Love]” and the record company has plans to do a video premiere in Abuja and Lagos before the video will officially hit the screens.
