Don’t stay in a marriage that will lead you to death – Peter Okoye
Following the news of the passing of Bimbo Ogbonna, the wife of well-known car dealer Ikechukwu Ogbonna a.k.a. IVD, Mr. P of the P-square music group took to his Instagram story to provide some advice on abusive marriages.
The father of two took to Instagram stories to deliver simple, quick, but impactful advice to anyone willing to listen.
According to Peter, there is a contrast between becoming married and living married; he counselled that no one should stay in a marriage that will lead to death.
Peter Okoye further advised that people should learn to walk away from their marriages when it’s not working.
He wrote:
“Don’t stay in any Marriage that will lead to death! Getting married is different from living married! If it’s not working! Walk away!… PERIOD!”

It was reported last weekend that Bimbo who has continuously accused her husband of subjecting her to domestic abuse, died from burn injuries she sustained last week.
Sources claimed Bimbo confronted her husband IVD on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, over the constant beatings she received, and a fight ensued.
The fight resulted in their house being set ablaze. IVD was said to have escaped with minor burns while Bimbo suffered severe burns and was rushed to the intensive care unit. Sadly. she lost the battle to live.
Oyindamola Martins, the brother of late Bimbo took to his Instagram page to release videos that allege that IVD is HIV positive and also responsible for the shooting that happened at a night club where singer, Burna Boy and his crew were accused of allegedly engaging in a shootout with a married woman.
Martins further alleged that IVD threatened to shoot him on sight after he released evidence to prove that IVD is responsible for his sister’s death as he seeks justice.
