‘I wanted to be a billionaire like Dangote, not an artiste’: Mr Eazi discloses (Video)

Nigerian singer and businessman Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade, popularly known as Mr Eazi, has disclosed that his ultimate role model has always been Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote.
The Skin Tight crooner, who recently wedded billionaire heiress Temi Otedola in a grand three-country celebration, revealed in an interview with Angela that his entrepreneurial spirit started as early as age 15. According to him, music was never his original plan.
Eazi explained that he began by organising parties during his university days, and as the events grew, he naturally drifted into recording songs. While fans connected with his music, his personal ambition was to build businesses like Dangote.
He also recalled how an encounter with legendary American singer Ms. Lauryn Hill changed his outlook. She invited him to perform in the U.S., and backstage, told him she had been looking for him. That validation, he said, made him take music far more seriously.
Interestingly, Dangote himself was present at the couple’s wedding in Iceland, where he spoke glowingly about Mr Eazi. The billionaire revealed that the artist already runs businesses in 18 African countries.
He also described the wedding as the best he had ever attended, adding that he would personally sponsor the naming ceremony of the couple’s first child, promising it would be nothing short of spectacular.
