Nigerian singer, songwriter, and entrepreneur Oluwatosin Ajibade, better known by his stage name Mr Eazi has expressed his condolences to the people of Apiate following an explosion that resulted in the loss of life and property.

On Thursday, January 20, 2022, the people of Apiate, a village near Bogoso, Ghana in the Western Region, witnessed around 17 people lose their lives.

With approximately 57 casualties of the explosion being transferred to three separate health institutions in the Western Region.

Death and mass destruction trailed the explosion that took place in the town near Bogoso after a road accident.

While the people of Apiate and surrounding towns deal with the pandemonium, the government has moved to provide all essential assistance through mandated institutions.

According to the Ghana Police Service’s situational report, the accident happened around 1:25 pm.

It was a DAF vehicle with the registration number WR 2252-18 delivering explosives from the MAXAM Company, Tarkwa, to Chirano Gold Mines, as well as a motorcycle.

The accident of the motorcycle and the truck started a fire, which ignited explosives on the DAF van, causing it to burst into flames.

The singer took to his Twitter page to express and pray for the people at Apiate.

    He Wrote:

“Sending thoughts of condolences, comfort, healing & restoration to the
    good people of Apiate.”

Many other stars have spoken out in support of the Apiate people, wishing them well and praying for them.
