Ghanaian artist Mr Drew has expressed his feelings following the tragic passing of Mohbad. Reports suggest that the Nigerian singer faced challenges with his former record label that took a toll on him.
Since then, social media has been filled with sadness over the loss of the promising Nigerian music talent.
Mohbad, aged 27, is reported to have passed away on September 12, 2023. He gained significant recognition in the music industry with his mega-hit track ‘Kpk (Ko Por Ke)’ released in 2021.
The exact cause of Mohbad’s demise remains unknown, but it has been suggested by friends that he had been battling suicidal thoughts.
In a resurfaced interview, his close associate Bella Shmurda raised concerns about Mohbad’s mental health due to issues he faced with Naira Marley’s record label, Marlian Records. It’s worth noting that he departed from the label in 2022 due to internal conflicts.

In a viral video following his passing, he mentioned during a live Instagram session, “if I die, it’s Marlian music that killed me.” In another video, he shared his frustration with the label’s actions.
