Jose Mourinho reveals he’s informed Roma squad of his future plans amid PSG links.
Roma boss Jose Mourinho has denied speaking to any other teams despite rumours that Paris Saint-Germain is interested in hiring him.
After leading his Roma team to back-to-back European championships, Mourinho is getting ready for Wednesday’s Europa League final. The Roma manager won the Europa Conference League last year, and this week, he hopes to add another title to his collection.
Due to his success at Roma, Mourinho has been mentioned as a potential replacement for Christophe Galtier at PSG, but the 60-year-old manager claims he has not spoken to any other teams.
“I haven’t spoken with any other club as things stand. There are no negotiations,” he said. “I told the truth [on future] to my team — but it’s something that stays between me and the team. They know what I will do”.
Mourinho has previously downplayed rumours regarding his future. The former Chelsea manager has said in the past that he will stay at Roma until the conclusion of his one-year contract, and club great Francesco Totti has said that he could persuade Mourinho to stay in the Italian city even if PSG came knocking.
At the Puskas Arena in Budapest on Wednesday, Roma will face Sevilla in the Europa League final game.
