Moses Bliss reveals humble beginnings before fame
Renowned gospel artist Moses Bliss recently held a deeply moving concert in his hometown of Akwa Ibom, where he shared the inspiring tales of his humble beginnings before his meteoric rise to fame.
Videos from the event, dubbed ‘The Bliss Experience,’ have since circulated online, capturing poignant moments where Moses Bliss recounted personal anecdotes of his early struggles, including selling pure water to make ends meet. He also reminisced about a time when his mother couldn’t afford two bus seats during a journey to Akwa Ibom.
The concert, which took place on Monday, April 1, brought the entire state to a standstill as locals and dignitaries, including the state governor, Pastor Umo Eno, gathered to witness the powerful performances. Alongside Moses Bliss, his wife Marie Wiseborn, and esteemed artist Frank Edwards graced the stage, captivating the audience with their musical talents.
During the event, Moses Bliss used his platform to uplift and inspire the people of Akwa Ibom, urging them not to lose hope in the face of adversity and reminding them that they too could achieve greatness. Minister Frank Edwards shared a touching anecdote, revealing that he once judged an audition where Moses Bliss was a contestant. A decade later, they stand together, collaborating and singing songs of triumph and faith.
He said “We used to enter bus. I used to sell pure water. I am telling all these stories so that you will know that what you are going through is not unique to you. You are not the only one going through something. But if you hold unto Jesus from here the lord will catapult you to the nations of the earth”.
