‘Ebuka is a great guy’: Moses Bliss addresses beef rumours with former signee

Renowned gospel minister Moses Bliss has put to rest rumors of a fallout between himself and former label signee Ebuka Songs.
Bliss clarified during an interview at the inaugural live edition of the WithChude podcast, hosted by Chude Jideonwo. When asked about the speculated tension surrounding Ebuka’s departure from Spotlite Nation — Bliss’ record label — the Too Faithful singer responded with nothing but positivity, describing Ebuka as a “great guy.”
“He will go far in his ministry journey,” Bliss said warmly. “The world is yet to see the best of him.”
Bliss further explained:
“We are humans, and you feel a certain way when people misconstrue your intentions. But I’m very concerned about impressing God. My intentions are pure and everything I do is born out of love.”
Highlighting that it is normal for artists to move on from labels, Bliss clarified that Spotlite Nation functions more as a ministry than a traditional record label.
He emphasised that, because of this, he strives to handle controversies in a way that reflects Christ-like values.
“I would always want to respond the way Jesus would. If anything would hinder the ministry or representing God rightly, I would choose ministry. I’m a man of God first, so I have to respond like a kingdom person, not like the world.”
Bliss expressed joy at the progress Ebuka Songz is making in his career:
“We have been able to contribute support where necessary. He’s definitely not where he used to be. He’s impacting a lot of lives, and just seeing that alone, my joy is full. I don’t care what anybody thinks — I’m happy for him, rejoicing for him, and rooting for him.”
Bliss also revealed that he still recommends Ebuka for ministry events, emphasizing that there is no bad blood between them:
“Sometimes they call me for events: ‘We need an Ebuka,’ and I say, ‘Yeah, sure—Ebuka is available.’ It’s all love for me. As long as the Kingdom of God is expanding and the gospel is being propagated, my joy is full.”
Ebuka Songz officially left Spotlite Nation in 2024, and both parties have consistently reaffirmed that their parting was amicable.
