Moonchild Sanelly says most Amapiano albums don’t hit.
South African singer Moonchild Sanelly recently took to Twitter to express her sadness over the state of Amapiano albums. In her tweet on Monday, she claimed that most Amapiano projects fail to achieve the same level of success as their popular singles.
Over the years, Amapiano songs like “Mnike,” “Asibe Happy,” “Siyathandana,” “Tanzania,” and many others have dominated social media platforms in various countries.
However, Sanelly feels that Amapiano albums have yet to reach such heights of success. She questioned the lyrics of these albums and expressed her disappointment, writing, “Sadly, Most AMapiano albums as a full body of work don’t maintain the singles’ statuses. Why?! I get disappointed just as a writer on some: Didn’t that just sound like one long song?! Maybe it’s me.
What’s worse is I don’t listen to people’s work in general. When I do, I’m saddened. Anyway.” The tweet received mixed reactions, with some defending Amapiano artists like Kabza De Small, Kelvin Momo, and others.

Sanelly questions why Nigerian men have larger eggplants and she added that Nigerians should consider it a blessing.
“What’s in the diet coz why do Nigerians have bigger d!ck than South Africans? Is it the water? Like what is it? U guys must thank the lord coz ur blessed Oga,” she tweeted.
