Nigerian fast-rising artist Lojay has seen his hit tune “Monalisa” shoot to the top of the global afrobeat chart on Shazam.
Nigerian singer, Lojay hit tune titled “Monalisa” tops the Shazam global afrobeat list, ahead of “Love Nwatiti” by CKay, who has been on a roll recently.
On Sunday, October 17th, 2021, the news was shared via Instagram.
In June, Lojay released “Monalisa” as part of his LV N ATTN EP, which he collaborated on with popular producer Sarz. Songs like Tonongo and the title track, which featured Wizkid, also had outstanding periods on the charts.

“Monalisa” song has proven to be the most time-tested of the project’s songs.
According to the rankings, Lojay’s “Monalisa” is the most Shazamed afrobeat music in the world, with Ckay’s Love Nwatiti coming second. Jaywillz’s surprise smash, “Medicine” comes in third position, slightly ahead of Wizkid’s “Joro” in fourth.
The most significant of the top ten entries is Davido’s “Fall”, which is still in 9th place despite being released four years ago.
