Moises Caicedo ‘only wants Chelsea’ & is set to reject Liverpool move as Blues prepare to smash transfer record to pull off unbelievable hijacking.
Chelsea are set to increase their bid for Moises Caicedo, thus hijacking Liverpool’s £110 million agreement, with the midfielder solely interested in joining the Blues.
Caicedo, according to Fabrizio Romano, only wants to sign for Chelsea after agreeing personal terms with the Blues. According to The Guardian, the Blues are prepared to increase their proposal for Caicedo in order to hijack Liverpool’s £110 million ($140 million) deal with Brighton after their current £100 million ($127 million) offer was rejected by the Seagulls.
In an unexpected late twist, it now appears Caicedo may join Chelsea rather than Jurgen Klopp’s Reds.
After considering Chelsea’s renewed efforts to sign him, Caicedo had “second thoughts” about his move to Anfield, per Sky Sports. Despite being due in Liverpool to discuss personal terms and undergo a medical, the player, along with his entourage, remained in London, mulling over his future.
Chelsea’s desire to bolster their team’s foundation is evident by their interest in Caicedo, especially in light of the departures of Mateo Kovacic and N’Golo Kante. In fact, the Blues also made a bid for Romeo Lavia, who was on Klopp’s want list, and according to rumours in Italy, they are also considering Marco Verratti of Paris Saint-Germain.
If Chelsea continues to match or exceed Liverpool’s offer, Caicedo will most likely now sign with the Blues. However, reports have indicated that he won’t be able to play in Sunday’s Premier League match, which has gained additional significance considering the competition for Caicedo.
