“Why I can’t forgive the nurse who injected my husband” – Mohbad’s wife

Olawunmi Aloba, the wife of the late Nigerian singer Mohbad, has opened up about the emotional turmoil she has faced following her husband’s tragic passing.
Mohbad, whose real name was Ilerioluwa Aloba, died on September 12, 2023, in circumstances that remain unclear despite ongoing court hearings, trials, and police investigations. His body remains unburied, adding to the distress of his loved ones.
In a recent interview, Wunmi expressed her deep pain, particularly regarding the nurse who administered the injection to Mohbad before his death. She revealed that she could not forgive the nurse, stating:
“She made me a widow. She’s been living nonchalant, living her life. I really don’t know if the injection my husband was given was a mistake.”
According to Wunmi, the nurse—who was recommended by a close associate because Mohbad’s personal nurse was unavailable—will face an inquest on March 14, 2025. She also noted that the nurse has shown no remorse for her actions.
Speaking on her son, Liam, Wunmi expressed her heartbreak, saying he has yet to experience the joy of childhood due to the tragedy.
“If I see the nurse face to face, the only thing I will tell her is that she will experience everything she has done to me,” she added.
The ongoing legal and emotional battle surrounding Mohbad’s death continues to spark widespread discussion and demand for justice.
