Mohbad’s widow breaks silence, fires back at Verydarkman over ongoing controversy

Wunmi, the widow of late singer Mohbad, has finally spoken out, calling out online critic Verydarkman (VDM) for his relentless and baseless accusations against her and her family.
For nearly two years, VDM, whose real name is Vincent Otse Martins, has gained notoriety for weighing in on trending controversies, including Mohbad’s tragic passing. One of his most persistent claims has been pressuring Wunmi to take a DNA test to verify the paternity of her son, Liam.
Breaking her silence, Wunmi took to her Instagram stories to address the harassment, making it clear that she would not be bullied into taking a DNA test.
“Vincent, for nearly two years, I have endured your harassment, false narratives, and attempts to obstruct justice for my late husband, Mohbad. Despite my silence, you have continued to spread misinformation, even going so far as to question the paternity of our son, Liam,” she wrote.
She emphasized that her decision to stay quiet was not a sign of weakness but a conscious choice to grieve with dignity. Additionally, Wunmi criticized VDM’s continuous attacks, accusing him of being biased against Mohbad and his legacy.
In her statement, she acknowledged that while she and Mohbad had their fair share of disagreements like any other couple, their marriage was built on love, understanding, and forgiveness. She further called out VDM for focusing on her personal life while neglecting his own, warning that his intimidation tactics would not break her.
Wunmi’s bold response has since ignited widespread reactions online, with many Nigerians praising her strength and resilience in defending herself and her late husband’s legacy.
