Mohbad’s Widow Claims Innocence, Slams Father-in-Law’s Team for Alleged Harassment
Mohbad’s widow, Wunmi Cynthia Aloba, has publicly called out her father-in-law’s spokesperson, Azeez Olurin, also known as Gurexy, accusing him of making her life unbearable.
Taking to Instagram, Wunmi addressed ongoing allegations tying her to her late husband’s death. In a series of posts, she claimed that Gurexy and Barrister Odumosu, her father-in-law’s lawyer, have been working together to frame her and cause distress.
Sharing a picture of Gurexy, she wrote:
“This is the face of my father-in-law’s spokesperson, his name is AZEEZ OLURIN aka (Gurexy). He and Barrister Odumosu have been working together relentlessly to make my life a living hell. They have conspired to coach and bail out suspects, encouraging them to lie against me while actively bullying my child and me. #stopwidowvictimization#”

In another post, Wunmi responded to claims made by her late husband’s friend, Spending, stating:
“So Spending, here you admitted that we didn’t fight when we got home, so why did you lie in your write-up last night? #stopwidowvictimization#.”
She also released a voice recording of Gurexy, alleging that it proves how he and Barrister Odumosu bailed out suspects and influenced their statements.

In a separate post, Wunmi shared an audio clip of her father-in-law, in which he acknowledged that Liam, her son, is indeed Mohbad’s child but insisted Nigerians were demanding a DNA test.
She wrote:
“First slide: Here, my father-in-law openly admits that he doesn’t deny that Liam is his grandson. According to him, Nigerians are the ones asking for the DNA.
Second slide: He also said when the DNA is done, he’d tell the world what took my husband’s life.”

Emphasizing her willingness to proceed with the DNA test, she declared:
“I, OMOWUNMI CYNTHIA, have been ready for the DNA test. He’s the one running from it and manipulating the public because he never thought I would have the courage to speak up. Please, to anyone reading this, beg this man to stop making my life a living hell and respond to my lawyers so the DNA can be done.”
Her posts have fueled heated discussions, with many urging for transparency in the ongoing controversies surrounding Mohbad’s death.
