Mohbad’s mother tells court that she wasn’t relating well with her son before 2019
The late artist Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad’s mother, Mrs. Promise Aloba, has disclosed that her relationship with him was strained for a considerable amount of time.
The singer’s passing has been the subject of controversy, leading the Lagos State Government to order a coroner’s inquest.
Abosede explained to the coroner’s court that the reason she and Mohbad don’t get along is because her husband took him away and gave him the order to stay away from her. But she also mentioned that in 2019, she started to connect with him more.
Mrs. Aloba gave testimony at the coroner’s inquest investigating Mohbad’s death in front of Magistrate Adedayo Shotobia.
She further revealed that when her son fell out with his former boss, Naira Marley, she and her husband visited the Marlian Music CEO’s residence to ask him why they were having dispute.
“I asked Mohbad to call Pasuma to report Naira Marley because of the consistent beating, and Pasuma said he would intervene. Mohbad kept on cautioning me not to talk.
“I only got to know about the injury four days after, and the only person he had issues with is Naira Marley. The only complaint from the wife about him was infidelity,” she explained.
