Mohbad achieves new milestone on Spotify with ‘Blessed’ EP.
The late Nigerian artist, Ilerioluwa Olademeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has achieved a groundbreaking feat by becoming the first artist to reach the number-one spot on Spotify Nigeria’s weekly album chart with his extended play (EP).
Despite his tragic passing on September 12, 2023, Mohbad’s music continues to soar, captivating fans and calling for a thorough investigation into his untimely death.
Since his demise, Mohbad’s singles and albums have taken over various music streaming platforms in Nigeria. Notably, three of his tracks, “Peace,” “Feel Good,” and “Ask About Me,” along with “Beast and Peace,” have claimed positions within the top ten on Apple Music Nigeria’s charts.
His single “Ask About Me” has even secured the top spot on Spotify Nigeria’s singles chart. Furthermore, his EP, titled “Blessed,” has made a significant impact by entering the top 20 on the UK Apple Music albums chart.
Recall, Mohbad has accomplished a remarkable achievement on the Global Digital Artists Ranking Chart.
As per data released on the chart on September 20th, the late music sensation recently reached a peak position of 58.
This positions him as the 58th highest-selling digital artist globally.
The Global Digital Artists Ranking chart evaluates an artist’s standing based on their performance on iTunes and various streaming platforms worldwide.
Remarkably, he surpasses internationally renowned figures such as Eminem, Nicki Minaj, 21 Savage, Chris Brown, Lady Gaga, and many more.
