Mohbad will feature on Bella Shmurda’s tribute album to the late artist
Fans can anticipate an exciting collaboration between Bella Shmurda and Mohbad, as Bella Shmurda gears up for the release of his new album on September 12, 2024, coinciding with the first anniversary of the late street pop sensation Mohbad.
During an appearance on the In My Opinion Podcast, Bella Shmurda unveiled that his upcoming album will feature Mohbad. Amidst his current tour, he also announced the imminent release of a new single titled ‘Loner‘ on March 15, 2024.
Reflecting on his emotional state, Bella Shmurda shared, “I feel like a loner right now. Shout out to my team, my family, and everyone who has always supported me. I’m healing, though. Just because I’m laughing doesn’t mean I’m okay, but I’m stepping outside.” This sentiment encapsulates the theme of his forthcoming single.
In remembrance of Mohbad, who passed away in 2023, Bella Shmurda honored him with the heartfelt single ‘My Brother’.
The EP titled ‘Road To September 12‘ follows Bella Shmurda’s 2023 EP ‘DND‘, which featured hit singles like ‘Ara’ and ‘NSV’ with Tiwa Savage.
Following Mohbad’s tragic passing, numerous Nigerian artists paid homage with over 60 tribute songs. Bella Shmurda’s tribute album to Mohbad stands as a significant addition, commemorating Mohbad’s enduring legacy and profound impact on Nigerian music.
The ‘Cash App‘ crooner revealed that he made the decision to stop smoking weed four years ago due to his apprehension about the future.
While he acknowledged that he still indulges in smoking cigarettes, Bella Shmurda’s decision to abstain from marijuana reflects his personal journey towards managing anxiety and prioritizing his mental health.
Speaking in the latest episode of the ‘In My Opinion’ podcast, Shmurda said: “I don’t smoke igbo [weed]. I used to but I started having anxieties smoking weed. I started getting scared of the future.
