Mo Salah posts injury update ahead of Liverpool’s clash vs Arsenal

Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah has provided a positive injury update ahead of the team’s Premier League clash with Arsenal on Sunday. The Egyptian forward had to cut short his participation in the Africa Cup of Nations due to a hamstring injury suffered in a match against Ghana on January 18.

Despite Jurgen Klopp’s earlier assertion that Salah would have been permitted to rejoin the Africa Cup of Nations if he had recovered in time, Egypt was eliminated from the tournament after a loss to DR Congo in the last-16 tie. As a result, Salah will miss Liverpool’s match against Chelsea.

However, Salah’s recent post showing a picture of himself running on the training pitch has sparked hope among Liverpool fans, suggesting that his return to action might not be too far away.

Speaking on Tuesday, Klopp ruled Salah out of Liverpool’s crucial Premier League clash against fellow title contenders Arsenal.

‘He’s not ready for this game, not ready for the next game [against Arsenal]… and then not,’ Klopp said.

‘So he’s injured. I’m not sure if there was a misunderstanding in the beginning. He’s injured and a muscle injury takes time.

‘It could have been much worse, but he’s not available at the moment. He’s just doing his rehab.’
