In a post shared via social media, MI Abaga said, “No disrespect meant… I appreciate the fact that Now every American rapper wants to collaborate with us. However go listen to my catalog.. I have always known who I am and some of these people you guys are suggesting to work with me don’t want these problems. Levels de”.

This response stemmed from an inquiry by American rapper Meek Mill. He sought recommendations for a Nigerian artist to collaborate with on his upcoming album. MI Abaga had proposed Ice Prince Zamani. However, some fans have been proposing alternative international artists for MI Abaga to collaborate with.
