MI Abaga and Mikel Obi Land Top Appointments in Plateau State
The Plateau state government has appointed rapper Jude Abaga, popularly known as MI Abaga, as honorary adviser on entertainment and creativity.
This appointment was approved by state Governor Caleb Mutfwang as part of his administration’s efforts to rebuild the foundation of excellence for the state.
Additionally, the governor also appointed former Super Eagles skipper Mikel Obi as honorary adviser on sports. Mikel, who was born in Jos, had a successful football career with 91 appearances for the Nigeria national teams, scoring six goals.
Other appointments made by the governor include Prof. Christopher Yilwan as chief medical director of Plateau Specialist Hospital, Dr Agabus Manasseh as the director general of Plateau State Contributory Health Care Management Agency, Mathew Dawap as general manager of Plateau Mineral Development Company Ltd, and Helen Dabup as executive secretary of the Local Government Service Pension Board.
Other appointees include Ishaku Jilemsam as programme manager of Plateau Agricultural Development Programme, Samuel Gwott as general manager of Plateau Express Service, Hart Bankat as general manager of Jos Metropolitan Development Board, and Olivia Dazyem as special adviser on gender and chairperson of the implementation committee of Gender and Equal Opportunities Commission.
