Mercy Chinwo wins Best International Act at the UK’s Premier Gospel Awards.
Nigerian Gospel superstar Mercy Chinwo has received yet another award at the UK’s Premier Gospel Awards, where she won the Best International Act honour.
The gospel music sector of Nigeria’s music industry is growing, with a number of superstar artists meeting the spiritual demands of millions of fans.
Mercy Chinwo is one of the most well-known gospel performers in Africa, and her music is widely popular outside of the continent.
The gospel singer was recently recognized for her great career at the UK Premier Gospel Awards, which took place on June 9, 2023.
She was recognized for her contributions as a prominent voice on the continent with the Best International Gospel Act award.
Celebrating the award, Mercy Chinwo posted on her Instagram page with the caption:

Numerous well-known gospel performers from the UK, including Limoblaze, Annatoria, Triple O, Guvna B, The Spirituals, Manor Collective, and Tofunmi Adorna, also won awards that evening.
Arsenal FC Nigerian-British footballer Bukayo Saka was honoured for his contributions to the gospel alongside rapper Stormzy, Kanya King, and Yolanda Brown.
The Belfast Community Gospel Choir, Annatoria (The Voice UK), Travis Green, Israel Houghton, Guvna B, Chevelle Franklin (Jamaica), ZimPraise (Zimbabwe), Mahalia Buchanan (South Africa), and Dunsin Oyekan (Nigeria) all gave outstanding live performances.
