Megan Thee Stallion accused of harassment by cameraman who said he was forced to watch her have sex
Emilio Garcia, a former cameraman for Megan Thee Stallion, has filed a lawsuit accusing the hip-hop star of harassment and creating a hostile work environment. Garcia alleges that he was trapped inside a moving vehicle with Megan Thee Stallion in a foreign country while she engaged in sexual activity with another woman.
According to the suit filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Tuesday, Garcia claims that following the incident, he was warned not to discuss what he witnessed and subsequently faced mistreatment from Megan. He alleges that he was subjected to betrayal, fat-shaming, and differential treatment by the entertainer.
The lawsuit contends that the harassment and mistreatment were so severe and pervasive that they created a hostile and abusive work environment for Garcia, rendering his working conditions intolerable.
“This is an employment claim for money — with no sexual harassment claim filed and with salacious accusations to attempt to embarrass her. We will deal with this in court,” an attorney for Megan Thee Stallion, Alex Spiro, said Tuesday.
Representatives for Roc Nation did not respond to requests for comment regarding the allegations.
According to the lawsuit, Emilio Garcia started working as a personal cameraman for Megan Thee Stallion, whose real name is Megan Pete, in 2018. He quit his job in 2019 to work with the Grammy winner full-time and remained in her employment until June 2023.
Garcia claims that in June 2022, while traveling with Megan to Ibiza, Spain, he found himself in a moving SUV with Megan and three other women after a night out. Allegedly, Megan and one of the women engaged in sexual activity next to him in the vehicle.
“I felt uncomfortable. I was kind of frozen, and I was shocked. At kind of just be the overall audacity to do this right, right beside me,” Garcia told NBC News in an interview.
