US rapper, Meek Mill reveals he makes over $62k for every line in his song.
Meek Mill, the prominent American hip-hop artist, recently disclosed the substantial earnings he garners from each song he records. Taking to his Instagram page on Friday, he revealed that he banks a cool $1 million for every track, breaking it down to an impressive $62,500 for every sentence he utters.
In his Instagram post, Meek Mill addressed the recent controversy surrounding claims that rap is on the decline. With confidence, he asserted, “I’m getting a million a song… so that’s $62,500 every bar I speak… They say this rap sh*t dying must be on Billboard because it’s not to Meek!”
This revelation comes amid ongoing discussions about the state of the rap genre, with some entertainers expressing the view that rap is losing its prominence. Wizkid, in a previous interview with 10 magazine, had also stated that rap is dead while championing the dominance of Afrobeats.
