Bryan Mbeumo wants Manchester United! Brentford star ready to turn down Arsenal, Newcastle and Spurs to secure Red Devils transfer

Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo has reportedly set his sights on a move to Manchester United, despite interest from top clubs competing in next season’s Champions League, including Arsenal, Newcastle United, and Tottenham Hotspur.
According to The Athletic, Mbeumo has “decided he wants to join Manchester United,” prompting talks between the two clubs as they work toward an agreement on a transfer fee.
Mbeumo enjoyed a standout 2024/25 Premier League campaign, scoring 20 goals as a wide forward — a tally surpassed only by Mohamed Salah (28), Alexander Isak (23), and Erling Haaland (22).
His form has placed him firmly on the radar of Europe’s elite, but the Cameroon international appears to favour a switch to Old Trafford, even though United will not feature in European competitions until at least the 2026/27 season.
Despite United’s limited financial muscle this summer — a result of their European absence — Mbeumo’s contract situation could work in their favour.
The 25-year-old is entering the final year of his current deal, with Brentford holding an option to extend for another 12 months. However, the Bees may be tempted to cash in now to avoid a potential drop in his market value.
Brentford manager Thomas Frank has made it clear that the club will not part with Mbeumo easily, stating that any transfer would require a “nice, nice amount” to be considered.
Mbeumo, who has blossomed into one of the league’s most productive wide forwards since Brentford’s promotion in 2021, now waits to see whether Manchester United can meet Brentford’s demands and grant him his desired move to one of the world’s most iconic clubs.
