- Mbappe refuses to negotiate with Al-Hilal despite visit
Kylian Mbappe, the Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) forward, has refused to engage in negotiations with Al-Hilal despite their substantial bid and contract offer.
PSG is open to selling Mbappe this summer to avoid losing him on a free transfer next year when his contract expires.
Al-Hilal had a world-record bid accepted for Mbappe and sent representatives to France to persuade him to consider their significant contract offer, but he declined to discuss terms with them according to L’Equipe.
Mbappe seems to prefer staying on the bench at PSG for a season rather than joining Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia. The most likely destination for him, as per general consensus, is Real Madrid. However, if PSG continues to exclude him from the first-team squad, the French footballers’ union (UNFP) may need to get involved to find a resolution.
Given the considerable financial implications involved in freeing Mbappe from his PSG contract, his only option might be to sit out the remainder of his contract with the club. Whether he will remain on the bench or play on the field is yet to be determined. The situation remains an ongoing saga between Mbappe and PSG.
