Renowned Nigerian singer Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel, professionally known as Mayorkun, recently shared the story of how he ended up with a broken tooth.
The ‘Certified Loner‘ artist disclosed that he had a memorable encounter with an enthusiastic fan four years ago, which resulted in his tooth getting chipped.
During an interactive session with his fans on social media, one curious individual asked if his half tooth was a part of his heritage.
Mayorkun explained via Snapchat, stating, “A fan actually chipped my tooth on stage in 2019.”
In other news, Mayorkun has sparked reactions online by mentioning Olamide as the artist who inspires him in terms of songwriting. In a video shared on Snapchat, Mayorkun freestyled and credited Olamide, also known as Baddo, for influencing his approach to writing music.
The Mayor of Lagos mentioned that Olamide taught him that good songwriting doesn’t necessarily have to be in English, highlighting the YBNL boss’s impact on his songwriting skills. This acknowledgement showcases the influence and inspiration that artists can have on each other, regardless of their genre or language.
