Mayorkun responds to fans’ Christmas gift requests.
Nigerian singer Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel, better known as Mayorkun, has responded to persistent requests from fans asking for Christmas gifts. After experiencing an elaborate celebration for his 28th birthday the previous year, fans have urged the singer to reciprocate the love by providing gifts for their festive celebrations.
In addressing these ongoing requests, Mayorkun took to his Snapchat to humorously remind fans that he is not Jesus. Notably, he emphasized that some of those seeking gifts are Muslims and, therefore, should not expect anything from him.
Mayorkun’s response showcases a lighthearted approach to the expectations placed on celebrities during festive seasons, using humor to communicate the practicality of individual boundaries and considerations.
In his words, “Christmas gift should be for Jesus, na una birthday?? Some of yáll are even muslims, make this thing make sense to me biko.”
Recall, Mayorkun has addressed rumors about a supposed fallout with his former record label boss, Davido. Speaking on an episode of the Tea with Tay podcast hosted by actor and show host Taymesan, Mayorkun clarified that there is no animosity between him and Davido.
Contrary to public speculation, Mayorkun emphasized that he shares one of the best relationships with the ‘Fall’ hitmaker.
He mentioned that he doesn’t discuss Davido online as frequently as some other entertainers do because their relationship is a private matter not meant for public consumption.
