Mayorkun was signed to Davido’s record label DMW from 2016 to 2021; his debut single “Eleko” was released under the label. The talented singer released his debut studio album The Mayor of Lagos in November 2018.
After his exit from DMW in 2021; he released “Let Me Know” and his sophomore studio album Back In Office in October 2021, under the Sony Music West Africa division.
Fans at first were perplexed when they noticed that Mayorkun had jumped ships and thought that he and Davido were estranged.
However, the two artists have put the rumours to rest showing that all is good between them. In fact, days before Mayor dropped his recent song, OBO posted pictures of them hanging out on his Instagram stories.
